Part of the work doesn’t happen at a desk. Anyone on a construction site, servicing equipment or visiting a customer should be able to finish the job where it takes place, rather than typing up notes in the evening.

The app therefore centres on documentation on site. You complete checklists with the same conditional logic as on the desktop, capture defects and readings straight from the camera, and have the customer sign on screen. The report follows immediately.

Tasks can be viewed, updated, rescheduled and passed on to colleagues while you’re out. Calendars, appointments and the documents attached to a job are available too.

Push notifications bring new assignments and announcements to you. Self-service requests — a training course, a qualification record — are submitted from the app, photographing the certificate as you go.
